What exactly do you mean? It would be anachronistic if it was corrupted.A bit off-topic, but:
If we can get the teleportation system working, would it be possible to fix the anachronism of Isengard not being corrupted by having everything teleported off somewhere?
I think Gandalf mentioned that all he had to do was push it open from the inside on his east-west Moria quest. What exactly do you mean? It would be anachronistic if it was corrupted.
@Finrod_Amandil If they would have reached the west gate, wouldnt they have opened it (aka destroying it as i dont think they can read elvish), and used it to invade Eriador?
So the west gate wasn't just push-open-able from the inside?

If were going to 1.8 can we please remove the sprint fly nerf for non staff!I believe we can already use 3d models main as long as everybody is using 1.8
First of, the Cirth (runes) are used differently in Erebor and Moria, but I got some nice sources to refer to. It's a hard thing fitting readable runes onto 16 x 16 pixel textures, at least if you want to put more than two runes per block. And of course, with the randomization it's hard to put words on the blocks that make sense in every combination.- snip runes -
As far as I remember from the World Painting session we had with credoo it has a circumference of 600 blocks. As comparison: Minas Tirith has a circumference of 400 blocks. How many times bigger will the New Chamber of Light be than the old one, do you think?
Those caves were just transformed into the halls of Moria, I would think. What about the caves above Mirrormere, where Moria was founded?

Sorry.
True, but you would think that most of the mines would have some dwellings of a sort nearby, considering the distance to the city from the deeper mines.Probably already been discussed, but I figured I should bring this up, as I am re-reading Fellowship right now and they're in Moria right now. Gandalf makes a point that they now reached the habitable portion of Moria after a day or two's journey, about 15-20 miles inward, and that the total length is about 40 miles was mentioned earlier. That means that only the eastern half should be the realm proper, and the western half is just corridors and mines.
I see where you're coming from since working with metals is an important part of dwarven culture. However I don't think it's realistic for every home to have a forge. Part of this is because, even though smithing is so integral, a home is still a home, not a workplace. Sure, you can have a little room where you tinker with stuff, but a smithy takes up more room. Also, not every dwarf is a smith.I feel like there should be some form of small forge in every dwarven home, if not more. Dwarves have a very close relation with even further cousins as could be seen in the Quest for Erebor. So most if not all homes will be actual mansions, again fitting the dwarven overcompensation problem, and would be more than ready to accommodate a working forge area. For niche projects the great forges would be used, but for general hobby work and personal practice it seems to fit the bill.
