I greet you with news regarding Guide applications!

This has been discussed, changed and finalised to the point where I can bring it to the community now.

Basically, it was noted by @Soars that Guide Applications have very little to go at or work for, in essence, you get a trial tour, you pass or you fail, that's it. There's nothing to work at, nothing to gain etc. So we've decided to try and change that. Instead, we've created a system that works similarly to the current way Artist applications are carried out, where you develop your application over time.

You may know that a few of our recent Guide applicants, including @Archimdes, @TeamPalladian and @D3rr3x all went through a small trial "period", where they had the badges and showed off what they could do. Dear Screenshotters!

I am happy to announce a new screenshot contest!
This one is highly inspired by the Wide Screenshot contest that Ruben started the 15th of May.

The theme for this screenshot contest is:
Top-shot

Meaning that we will only make pictures from the top angle!
You can cut them anyway you want, you can even edit it so the light is a bit different.
Here are some examples I made of some Top-shot pictures. But of course you guys can do so much better than me!

Howdy gamers, how y’all doing? Another week, another Times edition where I gotta type some stuff up for you wonderful people. Lots of work is getting done both on and off the server. Just in these last two weeks, we had a few promotions in the community, lots of jobs have got the commoners involved in the community, and the Guides kinda took over the News channel with minigame and audiobook announcements. Hey there lads and lasses, Mapthor here again for round two of the Editor’s Note! Two more weeks of Quarantine have passed since the last edition of the Times which means MCME got a lot of special attention. Our donations have been going through the roof recently, a whole bunch of promotions from Artist all the way up to Manager, and lots of new players due to some certain Twitch Streamers. The Server is back in full motion and it doesn’t look like it’ll stop anytime soon. Keep up all the great work everyone! It will all pay off in the end, trust me

Do you want to be immortalized on MCME's Instagram account? Look no further: this is your ticket to fame.

What we want, is screenshots with particular dimensions; we want extremely widescreen screenshots, for a particular reason. Instagram allows you to upload 'swipeable' posts. The idea is that you take a widescreenshot, we cut it up in multiple swipes and post it.

Requirements & tips:

1. The screenshot has to look good after cropping the lower and upper strip, as the following screenshot does:
   
   
2. The resolution width must be at least 2500 pixels wide. See Video settings > Other > Screenshot size.
3. I recommend that every swipe is worth seeing: don't have an object worth seeing in only one slide. (See the above GIF which has an interesting object at every swipe.)
