With 2020 coming to a wrap i was thinking this edition could use a little life of energy! So we included many interesting things for you to read, this can be our 2020 Project Wrap-Up or the almost concluded Winter Events! Even if you haven't been here for all of 2020 we want you to feel like you can understand what MCME has been like. It's been alot of fun this year and i'm personally looking forward to what 2021 has to bring to the table for us to enjoy. Speaking of enjoying, i won't keep you any longer, please relax, sit back and get ready for another edition of the MCME TIMES!!!!!!!???!!!

Since 2 weeks ago I moved over the website to a new server. We are hitting some performance caps on our current server where we host a wide variety of game shards (minecraft servers) and services.

With this new server, I was finally able to get some much-needed upgrades in place. Something that is hard to do with our current server as doing major operating system updates or building the latest software for crucial services (like database, webserver, ...) usually leads to considerable downtime and debugging for me .

I hope that most of you noticed the increase in speed for the website.
Because of this the monthly donation goal has been increased too.

For the future: I am currently looking into new solutions so we can have better stability for the game servers. My goal is also to increase the capacity so that the we no longer have performance reduction when we are hitting larger caps or when there's a lot of activity going on. Hey all, Map here again. The past few weeks have been full of excitement on MCME with the Winter Events and it seems like everyone is having a pretty swell time. We just ran the Ice Boat Race yesterday and, let me tell ya, it might be the second best event of all times, behind the Mini Middle-Earth Race of course. I’m not biased at all, trust me. Make sure to attend the rest of the events this month. The team has put so much effort into these things that it would be a shame for them to go to waste.

This winter season we will be having another Screenshot Competition! Post your screenshots of snowy mountains, terrain, or anything portraying the festive season. But where should you send these shots? Just reply to this forum thread with your screenshot. If you have multiple entries please edit your post to add them in rather than starting a new reply. We want to avoid clutter as much as possible and make it easier for us to vote!

The competition will start on the 1st of December and will continue until the 11th of December. Givet10 will judge all the screenshots and when the competition ends, and the winner will be announced on the 30th of December. Make sure all screenshots are originals and no reposts!!
