If the earth revolves around the sun, why does the sun move?
Your turn sciences.
2 reasons
1) the earth's orbit is not perfectly circular (elliptical) and so the distance between the earth and sun changes and thus the relative position of the the sun changes.
2) the gravitational force of the planets act on the sun this causes the sun to 'wobble' think of it this way. if you had a tennis ball attached to a string and you swung the tennis ball round your head it would cause you to wobble, much like hammer throwers at the Olympics.
scientist's look for the wobble of distant stars to determine if there are any planets orbiting it. the bigger the wobble the bigger the planet
