  • Jobs and Plotbuilds: Unfortunately I do not recall most specific job titles or leaders, however I remember doing greenery and bushes and such along a road and near a river(Anduin jobs maybe?), detailing said road, and helping in some Lond Daer jobs. I participated in AUsmoothing5 with rudolphius on 23/05/2022. Gladden_Destruction lead by Andrew on 24/06/2022. AUsmoothing7 with Rudo 10/16/2022. Secondhall2 with wyatt on 10/19/2022.

  • Themed-builds: To date I have completed a Greek themed build, a Sunken City, and a Medieval Village. (Greek = -272, 4, 62978) ( Sunken City = -776, 4, 64613) <-- looks best in person. (Medieval Village = 425, 4, 64803)


  • Plot Builds: Only one plot so far, a small cliff plot on the anduin for Wyatt.


  • Freebuild/Plot World Builds: Anything I build in the new plot world or freebuild. Basically whatever I feel like MCME themed.






  • Additional Builds: I have done many builds outside of MCME, I am a SrBuilder for a small youtuber and some shots of builds for events of his (still done by me) are in the below album. Others are single player builds.

  • Your interests: My main building style in Minecraft is .... Anything! My favorite thing to do is to copy other build styles. Over time, I have become really good at copying styles in certain areas for anything from terraining, to structures, to organics. I don't copy builds, I just copy the style of the surrounding build and turn it into my own unique creation. However, when I do something in my own, I love to build in a dynamic and almost showcase style where I revolve around a main focus point in the build to draw attention. I also love to do terraining and overgrown/ruined builds. Not a big fan of straight up stone builds (like some dwarf stuff).

  • Your motivation: The main thing I love about building in minecraft is the creativity available to me. I'm not a naturally artistic person, and while my siblings and friends tend to be creative and great artists in the real world, my drawings look a bit more .... chicken scratchy. However, in Minecraft the blocks and shapes are already there for me, leaving me to apply them in a creative style.

I was hoping my next update would be the completion of my theme build, however it will be delayed a couple weeks. I'm heading out of town this afternoon for 11 days in the mountain, and my current themed build was slower than previous builds because I was attempting to elevate my level of building. I'm really focusing on details in the build and also using the custom blocks to a higher potential. Because of this, and also teaching myself to use the armor stand plugin to achieve higher levels of detail I was unable to complete the build in time. Additionally, I am nearing completion on a tree template world, with nearly 300 custom trees for personal use and for the use of a server I build on. I will be inactive for my time in the mountains, but I hope to complete my theme build as quickly as I can when I get back and provide a proper update!
 
I finally finished my theme build. It was the medieval village. Sorry it took so long, but I've been out of town for a total of a month since I started the build. I added the photos to the imgur on the main thread.

Can I get some advice on what I can fix or improve in future builds? Also I was planning on trying a dwarf or hobbit style next in freebuild, any suggestions for what would be best?
I haven't seen all of your work, or in detail, so I'm not going to comment on that at this very moment. I suggest you try out dwarven builds, get familiar with the resource pack. You'll find that it works quite different than the gondor resource pack.

Ok, I've been told in the past to work on my detail in the builds so I made an effort to increase that in my most recent build.
 
Can I get some advice on future builds. Like what I can improve or change and what I should build next. World suggested a dwarven build but I'm not very familiar with the style and I don't know what would be best for my application.

Sorry about all the delays, been on the road for the past few weeks; haven't really had a whole lot of time for mcme.
Your theme build is a good improvement on your past builds. At this stage in your app imma going to advise you avoid doing large set pieces and focus on detailing each element of it. You can learn an improve much more if we can focus on a single building rather than a whole village. But for you on this village, I would say avoid doing your building layout this way. Rows of buildings needs very particular details to make them work when they are isolated on their own rather build flush to each other, especially a rural scene like this.
As for the individual style, the roofs look very chunky. Best example is the windmill in the front. The roof looks a bit too messy for my tastes. I think you could have done better either thickening the tower or making the roof feel thinner. This also applies to the houses as well. Not really liking the mixing of roofs with the steep and the flatter pitches. Try to stick to one style or make it clear why the roofs are different. Best way to achieve this is go with a completely different style. Maybe have the steep pitch with all stone walls and isolated from the rest. This introduces a class/cultural difference within your scene.
Something else I notice right off the bat is the stone buildings lack a frame. One thing I want you to remember is to try setting your building walls with a solid edge, similar to a picture frame. You did it fine with the wooden roofed buildings; using the solid logs, but not so much on the other buildings. These do not have to be logs, we have a number of pillar alternatives, corner blocks, and the whole support system.
Finally I am going to comment on your block choices. The spruce logs do not work. They are too harsh of a color to blind with your desaturated pallet and stick out like a sore thumb. Also it looks like you attempted a gradient both on your buildings and your cliffs. From what I can see from the photo, is a lack of variations in textures. This is making those sections look very artificial and repetitive. Find blocks that blend well together and do a random mix of them within each layer of your gradient. Here is a good guide for gradients from conquest: ConquestReforged
Now that is out of the way. Let's talk about what I want you to do for the next month or so. We aren't able to get to every build you do and reply to them. We just don't have that kind of time. So I am going to suggest you do a bunch of smaller builds and throw them all into a single post. This is why I suggested not doing a large scene. It takes too long and does not show us trends you have over all the different styles of build. So let's go with single buildings or small scenes like a farmstead. If you are feeling adventurous, give rp d a go. A tomb, hall, or upper mines build are always acceptable. Or even better is if y'all come up with something new rather than just repeating current styles. If you need ideas, reach out to a foreman or designer and ask for concept art or general ideas directly on discord. We usually respond faster there than here. This also applies to quick feedback on a current build. If we are online we usually respond better on discord.

Yes! We expect you to do current styles but outside stuff or original builds using our rp is very much welcome. Helps us understand if you can think on our own or just copy what others have already done.
 
A small military camp I built on a server recently. Also a server hub I built a few months ago and forgot about. Camp still needs some final details, but the hub is mostly done, I did the terrain and most of structures (including the giant wheel), but a friend did a lot of the vegetation and surrounding stuff, most of which you can't see in this picture.

Did a job with Ayla today. It was Stilted_house_building. Date was 08/21/2022. Here are a couple pictures of the house I designed. And since I know she has a foreman app going, I would like to point out that her explanation of the process of making that house was very useful and made the process much simpler to do and understand.

Sorry its been a while and even sorrier I haven't been on the server much, but unfortunately this update is not an MCME build :(. I've been a bit swamped IRL and most of my free time has gone into this commission. It is a steampunk themed hub for a server. I didn't add very many pictures of interiors or anything because it is about as far away from MCME style as you can get, I did include of shot a the airship though just because I think it turned out really well.
