Yes Ladies and Gentlemen... they are finally here!

Introducing: Badges, the thing you want and will be hard to get.

Concept in a nutshell:
The basic idea of this conception of a badge system is that it keeps the existing ranks unchanged and that the badges are an extension of the current system. The goal of the badges is to permit more flexible permission sets for special, individual player skill- or interest-sets.

Formatting is not final, but we know you cannot wait!

Limited WorldEdit [WE-]

Badge requirements:
  • Be at least Artist or Guide
  • Have experience in FAWE basics
  • Is responsible and mature enough to use the tool in an effective manner
Application:
  • When did you join?
  • What rank are you currently and approximately how long have you had that rank?
  • How experienced are you in FAWE?
  • Will you need instruction in using WE once you acquire the badge?
  • Why do you need this badge?
  • What to you is a responsible and mature player?
Not fully set up and applicants will have to wait until set up properly in-game

Unrestricted WorldEdit [WE]

Badge requirements:
  • Be at least Artist or Guide
  • Have an adequate amount of experience in FAWE
  • Is responsible and mature enough to use the tool in an effective manner
Application:
  • When did you join?
  • What rank are you currently and approximately how long have you had that rank?
  • How experienced are you in FAWE?
  • Will you need instruction in using WE once you acquire the badge?
  • Why do you need this badge?
  • What to you is a responsible and mature player?

Voxel [V]

Badge requirements:
  • Be at least Artist or Guide
  • Have experience in Voxel
  • Have knowledge in making Terrain
  • Is responsible and mature enough to use the tool in an effective manner
Application:
  • When did you join?
  • What rank are you currently and approximately how long have you had that rank?
  • How experienced are you in Voxel and making Terrain?
  • Will you need instruction in using Voxel once you acquire the badge?
  • Why do you need this badge?
  • What to you is a responsible and mature player?

Now this is far fetched... But.... Here we go again:
Limited WE Commoner Badge?
- Restricted by area as well as the usual restrictions.

If I wont ever get to Artist (which might be the case) I'd like to build grand things either way, just without having to bother you each and every time I want something done. (I hate having to interrupt you multiple times a day just to dig a hole...)
My thought on this was to restrict the already limited WE to your own plot and freebuild. As well as adding some other requirements like supervision during the first week whenever you want to use it. Pictures of how you use WE normally. Constant activity as well as promosing builds. (Though still not Artist level).

On top of this, being granted the limited we badge commoner edition, would help you towards gaining the real Limitid WE badge if you got promoted. This way if you've already satisfied enough staff in your use of extremly limited we before getting promoted, you will automaticly gain access the the LImited WE upon promotion.

I dont know how hard it is to area restrict things such as WE, perhaps you could add that you would have need someone with Unlimited WE to mark an area were you could use it...
Either way Im tired of bothering you, as well as having to wait... (Yeah. Im an impatient being).
 
This might be something we could do for our Freebuild, but it will be really hard to manage, unless its like only for six months or something so that if you want to have it longer you need to renew it. But even that will be time consuming to manage

For freebuild only would be just perfect. But, exactly how hard is it to add a timer and a world specification?
Tbh I dont think it would require that much management.It would be an app as all others, and then a slight tweak on an exisiting badge.

Besides, the server's aim is to recreate Middle-earth and the badge's aim is to make it easier for people to recreate Middle-earth, so why give WE to ppl who don't contribute to that?

Because, as you said, WE is a powerfull tool for creation. Artists gets artist due to their creations, so why not let aspiring artists have all means possible to prove themselves?
Edit: With the limit to Freebuild, it wont hurt anybody either.
