  • Date you joined the server: middle of July

  • Jobs and similar activities:
  • A lot of DA jobs in GT, CT, and MT: I now have about 11 houses in GT, a similar amount in CT, and one in MT.
  • DA Sewage jobs: Designing and building of the main sewer level together with BWOT and now with ryttyr. Building the upper sewer level together with Pat and Rob.
  • DA port contest together with Superlolster360, Slowlex, PhoenixGaming108, Niki710, LegololGreenleaf and Redbarron2022.
  • DA ship contest together with CaptainDarkri
  • 2 Bed replacing jobs in The shire and Minas Tirith.
  • About 7 smoothing plots in Belfallas + one huge plot (25000 blocks) [wich I finished in 3 days :D ]
  • (River beddings job in Ithilien)

  • Need to have participated in 1 Themed-Build:
  • I did the theme project 'the Black gate of Mordor'. as you can see, my main target was to come up with a solid and good looking wall design. 25/08 - Now I included extra screens that show the 2 wall towers (which I just finished), and parts of the interior.
  • I did try to do the Farmstead themebuild to, but I built a ship instead (cause I didn't realize what themebuilds were :) )
  • Black Gate of Mordor
  • Ship (farmstead)
  • I recently (30/08/2017) did the 'Rhosgobel' themebuild, which was a lot of fun to do. I used this themebuild to show of my terrainsmoothing skills ones more, and I even have to thank Super for the great idea of using slabs.
  • Rhosgobel

  • Your interests:
  • I don't really have one particular style that I like to build in, and that's exactly what I like the most about mcme and just Minecraft in general. There are so many different styles that you can build in...
  • My favourite project (still ongoing) are the DA sewers. BWOT trusts my enough to provide me with a lot of freedom to build. In general I just like to experiment (like in my alchemist house) using almost all the blocks.

  • Your motivation:
  • I apply for artist to stop Magnus (and BWOT and Pat) form nagging all the time :D. No, just kidding.
  • I apply for Artist because I'd really like to get the full potential out of the time I spent on the mcme-server.
  • As I already said, I've heard multiple times from people that they trust my building skills, and that they don't need to watch me the entire time. I canceled my guide apply cause I think that I can serve this server best with building stuff. I enjoy building on the server, together with other people, and want to provide my builds to this beautiful project.

" I apply for artist to stop Magnus form nagging all the time :D" Hehe.
Give this man the artistrank he deserves!

Hey Merlinc, thank you for your application!

That's a lot of screenshots :D But most important for Artist applications are Themed-builds to show your individual skills. I like your black gate very much though you could show some more details, souroundings, upside, interior. Maybe try another Themed-build to show your skills with vegetation?

Participating in jobs and plotbuilds is also very helpful for a successful Artist application, just ask Designers and Forman if they have something to do for you ;)
I already know you as a good terrain smoother, you are very wecome to work on the plots I assigned you to at any time. Remember you don't need to do them all, just do when you have time and fun to.

When you update your application, don't create a new thread. Add the screenshots to your initial application post ("edit"), then reply to this thread (Just something like "update") to make us notice the changes.

Dangit Merlin, u forgot to place grass and flower in ur rhosgobel tb... U idiot!

Thanks a lot for this voluminous application, and sorry for the looooooooong time it took me to review it!

You showed me some builds and they all looked very nice! The one tip I'd like to give you onto your way is to ask yourself the question sometimes "ok, it looks good, but does it make sense?" Referring to things like the wood in front of the fireplace, and wooden support structures in a moist underground area. The latter one may need some research, but to me it feels rather odd, stone would be significantly more reliable in that place.

Thus I'd like to congratulate you (again), I more than gladly hand you the Artist rank! Or I would, if I could. Right now the new rank management plugin is still being set up and the perms have not been configured yet. I expect that I can do the promotion in the next few days.
