So after Lind helped me to install shaders I went on an F2 rampage, these were the result.

Looks really awesome. How taxing are they on ones system?
Well, I use a laptop that is about 2 years old with a generic intel graphics card that with optifine will give me a solid 60 fps, put shaders on that and it drops to 30 and if i sprint while looking at the horizen it drops to 17 but, over all its not as bad as i thought it would be. :D

It really depends on the shaders you're using, for example most of the shader packs have different versions like 'low' 'standard' 'high' 'ultra'.
In general I think werrus is a really great shader for less high end systems, but you can also just google for something like 'high fps shaders'.
But of course they are less good looking than shaders like continuum and chocapic extreme ;)

From all the shaders I tried so far, Chocapic13's V5 Lite, or V6 noshadows versions are the fastest ones. They don't have shadows (you only see vanilla shadows) and that is a huge boost in fps.

Sounds like I'd be able to use those shaders as well then. What shader is it btw? and how do you install it?

Well... It's the realistic shadows that I want the most out of a shader so...

no-one likes answering my questions...

eh...

just a word of warning, do not under any circumstances awake eaglez from his slumber...

thou hast been warned...

Try Chocapic13 V6 Lite or Sildur's Vibrant shaders 1.62 Lite. They perform and look great.
I tried some shaders today and found Sildur's Vibrant Shaders v1.161 Extreme + Volumetric Lighting to look the best

Well, guess I need to up my game haha. These all look great btw! We should attach the best ones to the locations on the interactive map
