    • Melon Wreck

Melon Wreck is a tiny island south of Anfalas. It is more of a joke than a serious build. It is made by @kisos and it is of course not mentioned by Tolkien. It contains a small Island with a tree and a shipwreck and ironicly no melons.

    • Michel Delving
    full

Michel Delving is the biggest town in the Shire and is considered its Capital. The Major of the Shire is elected there. It's located in the White Downs and on the Great East Road.
The famous museum "Mathomhouse" as well as the Lockholes are to be found in Michel Delving.
It has aproximatly 20 houses, of which most lay above ground.

It was constructed by SMtg and Fawkes. This incarnation of Michel Delving had a redstoned factory that would send out whatever colour of wool the player needed with the push of a button. This later got a revamp by
Ryanturambar who organized builders in constructing houses, hobbit holes, and shops. Builds were then transferred and reorganized into the current map.

    • Midgewater
    full

Midgewater is a Marshland in Eriador. Its located east of Bree and north of the Great East Road.
As the name implies, there are a lot of midges in midgewater. For that reason it is not inhabitated.
Strider leads the Hobbits through there on their way east to Rivendell. During the Great East Road Project, the construction was done by @Irufush1. Midgewater was later revamped by @Will_em .

    • Minas Tirith
    full

Minas Tirith, originally called Minas Anor, is the Capital of Gondor since ~ T.A.1636, when Osgiliath, the former capital, was devasted by the Great Plague. It's located on the east end of the white mountains where it was build by the Numenorians in S.A. and was home to Anarion, son of Elendil. Also it housed one of the Palantiri and the White Tree of Gondor. The Battle of the Pelennor Fields took place before its gates, when Sauron launched an attack agains the free men. After the War of the Ring was won, Aragorn was crowned as King Elessar in Minas Tirith.

The project was designed and started by @HomiNo and @Credoo . @Megawatts helped with finishing the frame. @Thatruben designed the official concepts that were implemented in the actual construction. The crypts were completed by @Wollip666 . The Citadel was designed in a build competition by @wheelleee and @Glov . The pattern in front was designed by @Freshmilkymilk with help from @pheonixsang on the gardens. @Thatruben and @foxyyy1 designed the Guesthouse. The infamous “Minas Moria”, otherwise known as the underground portions of Minas Tirith along with the huge caves, were designed by @Despot666 .

    • Mordor
    full

The land Mordor (literally "dark land") was home of the second dark lord Sauron for most of S.A. and T.A. before he was defeated. Apparently some people thought you could not simply walk there, but Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee proved it wrong in T.A. 3019. Mordor is not constructed yet on MCME, but there is an easteregg.

    • Moria East Gate
    full

The eastern gate of Moria is located at the eastern slopes of the Misty Mountains. It is in front of the Mirrormere, the lake were Dúrin the Deathless saw his vision in the lake, with him with a crown on his head. It is one of the two (Moria East Gate and Moria West Gate, Dúrin's stairs are not really counted as an entrance) entrances to Moria. It is the first thing built by the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm, because Moria is built from east to west. If you walk through the gate inside, it will automatically teleport you to Moria! This is the only way to go to Moria, currently.
    /warp Moria East Gate

    • Moria West Gate
    full

Moria's western gate was built into the Walls of Moria. You can walk to it from the narrow vale from Eregion westwards to the Stair Falls, across (disrecommended because of the Mysterious Watcher) or along the lake to Dúrin's Doors. The West Gate was built quite late, in the Second Age, to cooperate better with the Elves of Hollin or Eregion. It was built by the two greatest craftsmen of the Second Age: the Elf Celebrimbor and the Dwarf Narvi. After Eregion was destroyed by Sauron, the Doors were shut. Only if you knew the password (Mellon, meaning friend) the doors would open, but after Khazad-dûm got deserted, the password was forgotten.

It is mostly underground and it contains some nice Warg cages and Goblin caves. Originally, it was part of the realm of Angmar, but it got destroyed by the Free Folks (Gondorians, rangers and Elves from the Grey Havens).
Later, it got inhabited again by Goblins. The project was a public project led by @Thijs1801 .
