Hey guys im looking to talk to you guys about some military things, as i am one, and i want to know how your trainning goes and what you guys do and all dat fun stuff! I've noticed that we have a few military members in this awesome community so yeah!
Keep the politics out, and any other stuff against the TOS uhh yeah!
any army just lets talk about army stuff!
i'd like to add first responders as well. You guys could talk about police stuff and all that fun jazz, be sure to tell which you are talking about because we dont want people getting to confused.

well, signing up was a long process of paper work and tests, when i first went in to the recruiter i was expecting a huge *sshole, but my recruiter was very chill and we actually had a lot in common. he asked me why i wanted to join i explained that this is all i ever wanted to do, this is the career i want to carry on. i was giving atleast 3 pounds of paper work to fill out, but yet i only had to fill out a couple pages it was SGT Dickie who had to do the rest. i filled it all out and handed it back in, he said "ill send it to Ottawa and when it comes back ill let you know," i waited for about a month before getting a call from him, i was chosen out of 100 people to come and do multiple tests to see if i was fit enough smart enough and calm enough to join. i had to wake up at 4:30 am and did tests all the way till 6:45pm. i passed everything but they always send the results to a man in Ottawa, the main Doctor is what he is called or something like that. SGT dickie told my friend and i who are doing this all together waited for 3 weeks to get an email back.

i go in this thursday to get my kit, for the past fe2w days i've been running around and cleaning stuff.
but the feeling you get is truly amazing depending on how bad you want to get in.
so far ive been havnig fun and meeting tons of new and awesome people!

some of my expectations are to learn how to fire a rifle with precision accuracy, which the C7-A2 is good for, im really wanted to learn on how the army trains and what tactics they use for operations, i also reallllllyyyyy am looking forward to the kit i get holding all the gear, and plus wearing a kilt is a plus
i hope to learn tons of things so much for experiences there has been a lot of signing stuff, i hear the word money and serving a lot, i've also been able to clean a rifle so far not shoot one yet.

Since I've been in for almost a year now i guess i should post on this thread and give an update.
I finished BMQ and my basic infantry coarse and Advanced Infantry coarse. During BMQ we just learned the basic stuff like the name says. We learned how to march how to shoot rifles and stand still like a frigging statue. BMQ was two months, only weekends though. so all together if it was weeks and weekends it would have only been a month or around that. My BMQ grad went pretty good.

Only three days after my grad. I was sent to the biggest military base in the common wealth, or on of the biggest. While i was there i learned a lot of crazy things. I learned how to be an Infantry soldier and survive in the field for long amounts of time. The summer was the best time of my life because I became really good friends with everyone because we all went through the same pain. The huge amounts of push ups. waking up at 4:30 every morning we worked and went for 10 k jogs. While i was there i lost a total of 30 pounds. which I didn't believe at the beginning. I measured myself multiple times because I didn't believe it.
We did multiple tests, along with the hardest test in the infantry. the scoring system was 47 shots.you had to get 30 shots on target to pass. This test involved a lot of running, calm breathing and being able to reload very quickly. If you got more than 40 shots on target you were given the marksmen patch to prove you had the marksmen ship principles, and are able to shot under pressure and stress. I failed the test the first time by 5 points. The second time i took the test i passed with a 43, sadly i didn't get the patch since i failed the first test.

At the graduation our berets were taken from us and we were given our regimental head dress. The balmoral. We were also given our regimental coin. I was now a Nova Scotian highlander.

Now that I'm trained I've helped teach Cadets on winter warfare, I've played a Refugee man stealing food, and lots more.
This was by far the best choice of my life.
