Opening Statement
Hello everyone. December has started, although it seems that 2015 just began yesterday. It's time to start thinking about what happened this year, think about the good and the bad things, and figure out all the good intentions for next year! During the next editions of the Times we will try to recap all the events that have characterized MCME this year!
Announcements
@kisos, with some help from others, recently started a >>scavenger hunt<< for presents around the server. Although you can no longer win for being first (congrats @toeyoman, by the way), I still recommend doing the hunt as it was challenging and fun. It tests lotr knowledge and mcme knowledge.
Our Head Designer @Finrod_Amandil also asked me to make an advertisement for the Artist rank. It's true, with more people graduating or leaving, the purple legion is finally beginning to shrink. I myself am an artist and can attest to how much better it can be than adventurer. You don't to wait for jobs, and people often will trust you with more complicated buildings. Plus, it's pretty easy to apply for! So, if you have any interest in helping the server through building, consider if the Artist rank is right for you.

Project Progress
Aldburg Revamp (In Progress) - Lead: @Fireinferno13
There are only a few outlines left inside the city. Artists, go! The farms also need your help, with stables and windmills still needing completion. Meanwhile, the keep contest dashes on...
Andrast (In Progress) - Lead: @jacenpeter
Jacen keeps on terraforming his mountains and forests. He also revealed to me his master plan, which you can see above.
Anfalas (In Progress) - Lead: @DSESGH
Not much visible change has gone on in the region this week. There have been a lot of preparations though. @kisos in a report stated that "Ivan’s area is ready to be turned to stone, and more work on the hills for me.” In the absence of new progress, let’s just take a moment to appreciate how such a large majority of the former sand has been made green.

Lamedon (In Progress) - Lead: @_Luk
I have continued the farms around Tarnost. The village of Armena has been finished and work has begun on Eelry! @BeatHeav3N has started on the farms of the family Danyel, a possible strain of nobility in the area. Special thanks to @ohman74 (now Seth_Imfall) for the large amount of help she has given me.
- @Thijs1801
And while Thijs didn’t mention it, he also is furiously adding streams, forests, rocks, flowers, and other such natural features. Meanwhile, more of the mountains appear to have been completed.

Lond Daer (In Progress) - Lead: @Mandos
No apparent progress.
Misty Mountains (In Progress) - Lead: @Emilio_ & @Finrod_Amandil
No apparent progress? I strive to judge for myself in the absence of staff reports (as with many this week) but I must admit, the sheer scale of terraforming going on here makes it impossible for me to notice small changes.
Revamps (In Progress)
Fornost (@Demonataz) - Keep ruining houses, out there!
Public Projects:
Linhir Outskirts (In Progress) - Lead: @Nic1337
Work has continued on walls, fields, and roads.

Feature Section
Last week, we presented you with three new options for Times sections. There was only one response, and sadly that didn’t even follow the format or instructions.
Now I’m not saying that you must submit to our surveys, but the Times depends as much on the readers as the writers. We will be happy to attempt to think of new things, although it may take a while, but only if you tell us to! So, here is your choice for the time being. Either express interest in the surveys by responding, tell us that you like the surveys but don’t have time to fill them out quite yet, or tell us explicitly that you do not like them. Without communication, though, nothing will happen.

Hopefully you all saw this already, but if not @Thijs1801 made this lovely picture showing the fluid boundary between rural Gondorians and nature.

WANTED: Texturers!
As you all hopefully know already, @Despot666 has evolved into one of our most active and skilled texturers; almost the entire dwarven pack is his work. But now he is looking for helping hands as his future contributions will not only remain in the dwarven packs but also the other MCME Resource Packs. If you are not sure about your graphics skills, do not worry: Despot has offered to teach you the drills with gimp and co. So, if you are interested in influencing the look of future MCME, speak forth through a PM directed to Despot!
Screenshots for Facebook
@Tyranystrasz has access to the MCME Facebook page and will regularly upload stuff there. For that he needs, of course, the very best of MCME, and for that he needs YOUR help! If you have a really awesome screenshot to share, submit it >>here<<!
Closing Statement
With winter upon us of the more northern northern hemisphere (that is a general statement; my home at least is without an ounce of snow), I thought fit to share with you one of my favorite wintry poems. I also think it relates to MCME slightly, in the last stanza.
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
