~The MCME Times~ #43/16

Opening statement

Phew it's busy times on MCME again, and almost every day brings new hypes when I am working together with Eriol on new plugin and texture features. Seriously, that guy has so many good ideas, its unbelievable.
To be honest, it is a bit hard to reflect that hype in the Times, but at least I'll try to keep you informed where it's going to!

Have a nice read, and may your week not be as rainy and cold as it's supposed to be here in Switzerland .
Whats Up?

Project Progress

Andrast (In Progress) - Lead: @jacenpeter

This week, jacen has added some first materials to a very nice and long valley, and also the terraforming of the remaining part has made fantastic progress!
Belfalas (In Progress) - Lead: @Thijs1801

The only change I found this week is some new farmhouses right north of Methrast. Most staff members are still busy with either Dol Amroth or other projects.
Dol Amroth (In Progress) - Lead: @Eaglz24

Great progress was made this week in carving out the terrain for the new Dol Amroth. The building might get delayed a bit as tons of new textures are currently being created for Dol Amroth, which is throwing over the style quite a bit again (cf below for images!)
Lamedon (In Progress) - Lead: @_Luk

In detail the devil does lie; and that is, what the Lamedon team (Smith and Luk) are currently working on: Roads, Flowers, river sources. Another very lovely region coming into existance there!
Mordor Terrain (In Progress) - Lead: @Tyranystrasz

No update has come to my ears.
Moria (In Progress) - Lead: @Despot666 & @Finrod_Amandil

Massive changes in the Chamber of Light this week again! Fine mister @Beathaven has taken over the lead of this location as I'm always so distracted by all the texture things (sorrynotsorry) and he's doing a fantastic job at it. He, with the help of a fair number of very eager Artists have brought a ton of new houses into existance, e.g. a school and a courthouse, but also many many other things!
Despot has prepared the base for the Temple of Aulë, and the upper part shall be a CONTEST! Be sure to sign up right now here: Contest - Chamber of Light Temple contest & Buildday!

Beside that Darki has reported some progress in the eastern city part of Moria. He has finished the general housing hall and has continued ruining the Arena (If you havent seen it, good luck finding it )
Tolfalas (In Progress) - Lead: @Tyranystrasz

No major progress this week.
Valley of Erui (In Progress) - Lead: @Mandos

Mandos is currently tackling the small side stream coming from Minas Tirith into the Erui valley.

Texture Development

@Beathaven and @_Luk have unleashed their creative powers and have been creating new textures non-stop this week! Here's some screenshots they made using their new textures:

Plugin Development
Animation Plugin (In Progress) - Dev: @Ivan1pl

Unfortunately Ivan has not found the opportunity to continue the work on this plugin recently. But no worries, I'll kick his butt if he's continueing to be a lazy dev.
Plotbuild, Architect & Minigames (Implemented) - Devs: @Eriol_Eandur & @Ivan1pl

Eriol and I are still working on sorting out which blockstates we can safely use and which not; Eriol is constantly adding new small things to Architect to make some more states useable, and I have now started setting up the texture recordal file for the Gondor RP. At this point many thanks to @DarthRagnar and @SmaugJuice who have helped a lot already with the Eriador pack!
Rank Updates

None this week.

Media of the week

@q220 is currently investigating in making our server more well-known through the means of reddit, more specifically he is trying to get the subreddit /mcmiddleearth up and running. He also created some media just for that, here's some: Minas Tirith Screenshots

Upcoming

Themed Build
Themed Builds are weekly build events that serve to show off your building skills and/or help you to gain the skills required to get promoted to the Artist rank! All instructions on how to participate can be found in the thread linked below.

This specific instance is a so-called project build which features a bigger project, and accordingly lasts for more than one week (you can anyway edit your builds even when the following one started already).

Theme: Barad Eithel
Duration: 3 weeks!

Resource Pack: Gondor
Link: #38/16 - [Project Build] Barad Eithel

So, a bit later than promised, but I wanted to take the time and write a proper feedback to all current applicants. So, if I'm not missing out on anything, no rank changes this week!
