Opening Statement
Sooo if you have not been living in a sealed-off cave throughout the past week you have of course heard about the changes that have happened: Our Head Designer Credoo has resigned from his position after many years as MCME staff member. His list of contributions is long, but his most well-known ones are doubtlessly two of the hugest projects we ever had: Minas Tirith and Pelargir, aswell as the new MCME map which he created with Homie over the course of many months in WorldPainter. These creations made you, Credoo become immortal in the annals of MCME and especially because you ensured me that you won't move to the moon now but stay a part of this community we will never forget you! There are no words, neither in English nor even in Elvish, that would be suitable to thank you for what you have made for this community. You'll ever be the one and only #1 fish of MCME.
At the same time I have to announce another resignation of a member that has been part of MCME even longer than Credoo: wodleth. In august 2011 he joined the project, this makes 4 years that he has been here already, among them 3 years as staff member. If we look back at which other members joined around that time, newer members will only find few familiar names. It is a tough decision to step down as one of the last holders of the memories of the legendary earliest ages of MCME, a decision for which one should admire you just as much as for your passion you have given into this project for this long time and the creations that have resulted from that. Please delight us with your joining now and then, you would be sorely missed if you don't!
With these changes a >>New Age<< in the history of MCME was invoked, and I am incredibly honoured to be able to call out that it's me that has been chosen as new Head Designer. I will gladly lead the Designers and Artists in this New Age and will face all the challenges that may arise within it, and conquer them for the best of the community. You will soon hear more from me, about what is important to me and how that will affect the future of the server.
Project Progress
Andrast (In Progress) - Lead: @Tyranystrasz
This week, Tyr voxelled half of Ras Morthil and made a nice cave there. Artists (and maybe others) were busy with the village below, it is now about 70% done. Jacen terraformed some mountains and finished his first glacier. Good job, jacen! It's a bit rougher, more of an ice-fall at the end, than its northern misty cousins, but that's explained by the steeper incline as it creeps into the water below.
- Ardelenia
Anfalas (In Progress) - Lead: @otho- Ardelenia
Voxelling has gotten off to a solid start. I am working in the coastal area, kisos is working on the northern mountains, and otho is doing the central mountains. Mandos did a little voxelling and started planning a village with an imposing keep, though it will not be completed until all the terrain in the region is finished. We also lost one of the project staff this week (wodleth), because of his resignation.
- DSESGH
In case you haven't seen the full plan, there are maps and more >>HERE<<!
Lamedon (In Progress) - Lead: @_Luk- DSESGH

All the same things have been happening, which means lots of delicious progress! More houses, more fields, more root-fixing, more jobs (especially lead by @Eriol_Eandur).
- Ardelenia
Lond Daer (In Progress) - Lead: @Mandos- Ardelenia
With @bender400 having been promoted to Designer, he of course gets project staff of Lond Daer, as he always has made a huge impact there. Check out the city to find out what styles have been developped for the houses!
Misty Mountains (In Progress) - Lead: @Emilio_ & @Finrod_Amandil
This week was really intense... If I would have made as fast progress as currently is happening by the work of me and @Demonataz we would have finished the mountains of Moria in one month rather than ten. I have made the rough layout for the area of the fellowships path between the Highmoors of Rivendell and the Hollin Ridge, Demon then has worked on the finer terraforming. By now also the exact route of the fellowships path has been laid out aswell as the western half of the gladden pass!
Moria (In Progress) - Lead: @Despot666 & @Finrod_Amandil
Progress has been made in the publich baths this week, guess who has been working there? Of course, nobody loves water as much as our fishy Credoo!
Additionally @Ardelenia has picked up his awesome work on the 2nd hall murals, oh and I have tried about half a dozen times to get started with these gardens I promised to do since half a year (almost), but I always got interrupted by nasty things as getting promoted to Head Designer and promoting other people (cheers @bender400).

Mt. Gram (In Progress) - Lead: @_Thijs1801 - Reporter: @Nic1337Orcs may not be too intelligent, but from what I saw this week in Mount Gram there was one thing they were very advanced in: TORTURE! From primitive things like cages and death pits to the Iron Maiden they have got themselves literally every painfull or deadly device imaginable. Welcome to the dark side of MCME...

Status Updates
- @Credoo has stepped down from Head Designer to Artist.
- @Wodleth has stepped down from Designer to Artist.
- @Finrod_Amandil has been promoted from Designer to Head Designer.
- What story lies behind your username?
Well, back in the days when russia was still communist I lived in a hut in the middle of nowhere or how germans would call it (Arsch der Welt) and soo I seeked civilization adn found nothing (only wild bears!) But then I saw a guy selling wierd names
- What was the funniest / weirdest thing / event you encountered on MCME?
The moment I first saw @Speeder45 (back then when he was called I_am_Steve_Jobs,) in all his weird and Stig Like glory.
- What was the funniest / weirdest thing /event you encountered in real life?
The time where I was a young lad, about 4 or 5 years old. My parents took me to a park that had wild peacocks wondering around the park. There I had an amazing plan to try to steal one of the peacocks feathers, so I slowly creeped up to a peacock and I was about to touch the feathers when he turned around and started attacking me and chased me across the park and all my parents did was laugh at me and take a vid of all of this.
- If you could bring one item from Real Life Earth to Middle-Earth to show to Middle-Earth people, which would it be and how would you present / explain it?
The Manifesto of the Communist Party, because that was my favorite bed time story.
- Imagine you're sailing into the Undying Lands. Which LotR / Hobbit / Silmarillion character would you want to accompany you? (optional: why?)
I would take Gandalf , So he can teach me all about how to smoke weed in the most awkward situations and he can teach me what weed is good quality and what is not.
- If you would be given the opportunity to lead any MCME project (regardless of being done already or not), which would you choose?
Osgo sewers, So I can make @Tyranystrasz become a slave for team podado and make him work and work for 3 days and exact revengance on him #Team Pizza for the win!!!

Paths of the Dead
Often new players ask which are the nicest places to see on MCME. @Davidisc has an answer now in the shape of a media gallery he created recently:

Community Outreach
WANTED: Writers!
The rank of the Head Designer comes along with a really large bunch of responsibilities, not only promotion stuffs, but also a lot of behind the scenes discussions and planning. Therefore it is time for me to search for someone to take care of the MCME Times in the future. This is neither restricted to staff only nor does it have to be necessarily a single writer. Interest has already been shown by @Ardelenia, but he will need one or more companions to help him out with the research and writing. So please if anyone of you fine guys would be interested in continueing this newspaper that is an incredibly important media for both the community aswell as outside advertising, please PM me!
WANTED: Texturers!
As you all hopefully know already, @Despot666 has evolved to one of our most active and skilled texturers, almost the entire dwarven pack is his work. But now he is looking for helping hands as his future contributions will not only remain in the dwarven packs but also the other MCME Resource Packs. If you are not sure about your graphics skills, do not worry, Despot has offered to teach you the drills with gimp and co. So if you are interested in influencing the look of future MCME, speak forth through a PM directed to Despot!
Screenshots for Facebook
@Tyranystrasz now has access to the MCME Facebook page and will start to regularily upload stuff there. For that he needs of course the very best of MCME and for that he needs YOUR help! If you have a really awesome screenshot to share, submit it >>here<<!

Closing Statement
There is a lot of ideals I will follow during my time as Head Designer, this here could be one of them:
