Welcome to Minecraft Middle-Earth. This is the New Player Guide, an extensive resource aimed at helping new players, and also as a useful manual to look things up.

What is Minecraft Middle Earth?

We are a Minecraft community who are building the world of Middle Earth which was imagined by J.R.R. Tolkien. The community is accessible for everyone. In fact we have members of all ages, cultures and backgrounds!

We build the world through online collaboration. There are Jobs, Projects, Tours, a range of great social activities such as reading passages from the books and discussing the interpretations, hanging out on our chat and voice communication channels, and more.

It is important to note that we are building the world of Middle-Earth, and we are not a roleplaying or 'game' server. We are mainly focused on the creative, building aspect of the world, and use a modified Minecraft server for this purpose where certain elements such as monsters and terrain damage have been fully removed.

Getting started

I recommend that you register an account on the website if you haven't done so already, as it will give you the ability to post and start threads on our website.

Joining a server or service.

We use readable ip adresses for our server and services, a full overview of those ip adresses can be found at List of Servers, IP adresses, and domains.

You can use these domain names to connect to Teamspeak or the Build server. If you don't know on how to connect to a Minecraft multiplayer server, we have a guide for that at how to connect.
