Moria: The paths around the Crumbling Stair and where they ought to connect

So this is something that's been bothering me, and is most easily explained with a painted-over screenshot:

The red marks the paths connected to the crumbling stair. The blue is marks the paths connected to the paths in the chasm below. The two sections of pathways do not connect, and I believe this to be an oversight. One should be able to climb from the paths below to get to the staircase.

The green is where I suggest a narrow connecting pathway / stairs should go to link the two adjacent but unconnected sections of pathways.
