Minecraft Middle Earth is a Minecraft community that recreates the world described by JRR Tolkien and his writings. Everyone can participate in organized events in which we collaborate to create major landmarks, terrain, caves, castles, towns, farms and more.

yesBy this do you mean that you're building it as it was in its golden age (i.e. inhabited)?
Yay
It is, but Ivan, Will, and Klem just wanted to build it. It's not an official project.Isn't Moria already complete?
LOTRO-snip-
What I don't understand is that most staff actually now discourages Project threads, thus kinda discouraging projects all together (IMO).One Suggestion About Organization:
It would probably involve less cluttering of the forums if you moved this to an individual PM conversation between you and those who are helping on the project. Posting major updates on an occasion is nice and all, however daily updates clutters things a bit.
Not saying dont post your work, just saying limit to the necessities
yeah we're recruiting buildes cause its such a big project we need YOUNow, after that small rant, are you guys currently recruiting builders?
I have been waiting for an excuse to get on the MCME servers since I have been more than scarce for the last couple of months.

It doesn't make much sense to me. After all, this is supposed to be an open, ambitious community, and not having Project threads defeats the purpose.
1.If there isn't a thread, no one will find the project.
2.If there isn't a thread, no one can give input, whether it be criticism, questions, or things of that nature.
3.If there isn't a thread, the leaders may get spammed in their inboxes with questions about the project since there is no common-place area that anyone can ask questions.
4. How does it clutter things up? Having a thread that gets bumped every couple of hours?
After all, there is a forum for a reason, and that is to talk, discuss, debate sometimes, and make beautiful
brain-childs.
And, this is in Off-Topic, so there isn't anything incredibly important that everyone needs to see.
Sorry if I sounded spiteful or rude in any way, but I know that at least 5 others are burning to know these questions too.
i built a board at the spawn of the project (/warp moriaproject) where you can write when you are in absence, if you can't find a leader to tell him.Announcement for Moria Project builders:
Very few people are recently building in Moria Project. 14 builders, and I've only seen one of you building last week. So, starting from today:
Every builder should complete at least one job each week (jobs are marked by blue wool placed around Moria). Builders, who don't meet this requirement, will be removed from builders list. The only exceptions from this rule: no jobs available or previously reported absence.
