I have been texturing doors last week you see below to be used with all resource packs because we are 1.8. and we only have one type of door and it can't be possible that whole ME is using one type of door. So basically I made 5 types of door and recolored all of them so there is 15 different doors. We could use different colored doors in different resource packs. Some looks better on wooden house, some on stone house but I think it will look much better than now.

This wont work. Doors are made of 2 blocks. If we start mixing too many it will be a total mess because each block is independent.

I have now added 5 doors to every pack, I picked the following ones:

The doors will be available as soon as the RPs are updated next (cannot say when that'll be yet)
 
The middle door in the Rohan pack looks like monsterfish's jungle door from ravand's conquest pack simply resized. I'd check with monsterfish before you use it your resource-packs.
 
That is the only door I made using some reference and it is from conquest pack. I am sorry if I broke some copyright rules using that door as reference. Anyway I made another door that can be used as replacement for that door.

Ardelenia's personal opinion:
Obviously I don't want to break copyright rules or anything, but I think the old version with vertical slats is better and seems more realistic.
 
I too prefer the variant with the vertical planks. I don't know how tough it is to build up such a texture from scratch, but if you think you could manage that it'd be very cool as we're trying to move towards RPs consisting entirely of textures made by ourselves. Are the other doors mostly your work though?
 
Yes the other doors are completely my work and I will definitely try something with vertical planks as you want.

There is a doorknob on these(i think, correct me if im wrong). Im not sure how the mecanics of a doorknob would work in a door like that.(could be a latch, but i prefered the doorknobless feel, both very nice door textures though)
