What makes a great Guide according to you?
  • Guides should be welcoming the new players.
  • A great guide should be kind to all players of MCME.
  • Every guide should be comfortable speaking to people.
  • A guide should know the server's history and interworking.
  • Lore knowledge is a useful tool for a guide.
  • A guide should also know how to have fun and enjoy the game.

in the time I was given since my last apply, I joined many voice chats conversations, and I tried to be involved as much as possible.
I helped @Sevy689 in her Hobbit day event by taking some screenshots.
I ran an unofficial-streaming tour to an adventurer who doesn't have Minecraft, @givet10 participated in the Tour alongside other players.
I'm a part of a commoner project that requires a lot of voice communications
I was also been chosen as a senator from BoM project to CR, a role that requires voice communication.

Hey @Melkor_Thalion!

Thank you for applying for the rank of Guide.

We are in the process of reviewing your application and discussing it. You may be asked to carry out a trial period. This includes running minigames, tours, and events, some of which will be expected to be ran through voice chat on discord. We also suggest looking through the Guide Manual and Guide Application helper to get an idea of what to do going forward.

We'll get back to you soon. For now, if you have any other queries, please direct them towards myself, or any of the current guides.

Hey @Melkor_Thalion

The Guides and I have reviewed your application and we have decided that we would like you to complete a trial tour before we decide whether to give you a trial period. This is because you have applied for Guide several times before and last time it was recommended that you gain the tours and minigames badges before applying again. You can arrange a trial tour with me over discord and then I will see if the time is suitable for the Guides. Please could you make it an evening (server time) or at the weekend.

Hey @Melkor_Thalion

The guides have discussed your trial tour you just did, and we'd like to move onto the next stage with your application. Congratulations!

So, starting from tomorrow, the 27 October 2020, you will have 1 month to demonstrate to us why you would be a good Guide. You have been given the tours badge and minigames badge if you don't have them already. I recommend looking through the minigames manual and the guide manual on how to do stuff.

As per the application guidelines, it's up to you to keep this post updated. Whenever you do a tour, minigame, event or so on, it's up to you to let us know in here and here only. This is the only place we will look at for progress on your application, we won't check anywhere else!

At some point during your period, you will be expected to complete another trial tour as well. Once again, it's up to you to let us know the details of that, specifically the date and time you'd like to do it and where you'd like it to take place. We won't prompt you to complete one, yet it's detrimental to the success of your application. It can be whenever you want, so long as you communicate your ideas over to us!

We'll support you through it. If there's anything you want announcing, in #alerts or #news, let us know in here. If there's anything you'd like the Guides explicitly to be at, then once again say it down below. We'll keep you updated from time to time, with feedback or updates regarding your application.

So over to you. You have until the 26th of November to show us what you'd be like as a Guide.

Best of luck, and we'll see you soon.

did a tour today, went from Hobbiton > Bree > Rivendell > Amon Hen > Rohan > PoTD > Pelargir > Minas Tirith. it was a tour for a few adventurers. it was for about an hour and a half to walk throughout the map to and from these locations above

I'm also the one who runs this month's Ring Hunt, the hints for it you can find here

or in the #news channel on discord

Hey Melkor

As you have done your trial tour, we ended the trial period a couple of days earlier since we made our decision. As I have just discussed with you, you will not be getting Guide on this occasion, however you can keep the tours and minigames badges. The best thing about your trial period was your willingness to help people and good lore knowledge, but we thought there would be many improvements you would have to make before becoming a Guide. I have already discussed some improvements with you, however the Guides or myself would be willing to talk with you more about them, if you so wish.

You may reapply for Guide again in just over two months, from 1 February 2021. You would have to complete another trial period, but you can still work on improving before applying again if you choose to do that.
