Hello people of MCME. It is finally that time of the year again! I'm happy to announce the 2021 edition of the Summer Events!
This year it will be Olympic themed, but you could probably already guess by the name.
Let's have a look at what events will be happening this special summer, here you can find them all:
MCME approaches yet another summer. This means we have the summer events to look forward to, and this year we have held no expense to have as much fun as possible. As per the normal we have a theme every year and this year is Olympics, and we will try to stick to this theme during this season. Myself and ooitsUWUmanbirdo will be leading you through what we have in store for this year's events and hopefully making some new memories while we're at it. ~ THE MCME TEAM QUIZ CHALLENGE 2: THE SEQUEL ~

After the 1st team quiz last year being such a big success. Mortal and Exeter have decided to bring you a new and fun quiz for this year! There will be eliminations and (semi) final rounds again, hopefully they will be as great again. More information about this event will follow soon, so stay tuned for it.
~ People Of Middle Earth Skin Competition ~

July 11th - after the opening ceremony
These 3 Guides are running a Skin Competition for the summer events! The Theme is People of Middle Earth, This means you can choose either:
-Men (Gondor, Rohan, Rangers, etc...)
-Hobbit
-Elf (Noldor, Sindar, Silvan, etc...)
-Dwarf (Durin's folk, other clans, etc..)
-Orcs (Goblins, Uruks, etc..)
-Ents
Or any other Nationality in Middle earth of your choosing. Your Skin will be judged on: Creativity, Detail and Story (so be sure to make a story and name for your skin). To enter simply reply to this forum post with your race and show up on the date. Be sure to have your skins ready by 11 July because the contest will be run directly after the Opening Ceremony!
Because of our outstanding community, and the diverse cultures of the community, we want to see it through the world of food. Show off your national meal, and try to beat the competition. This will all be done in a separate forum post so make sure to check that out once it goes out!
Join us for the MCME Athletics - the Elf-letics! There will be a mixture of your favourite Olympic sports, including athletics, swimming, rowing, the all important sprint across the finish line, and MORE! Will you be getting the gold medal, or simply a sticker for taking part? Get your running shoes on and I'll see you on 12 July.
Along with the other summer events we are featuring a brand new PvP map with a small PvP based event around it.
The build team has modified the Colosseum that Credoo built, (the same one that was used for the 10 year anniversary), adding several new features such as buildings and terrain to make the map fun and exciting to play in for all players and playstyles. This combined with the various game modes we already have such as capture the flag and team slayer will make for some interesting and action packed PvP matches. So make sure to stay tuned for the summer events and not miss it!
Come one, come all! On July 17th we will be holding a glorious karaoke party. It will be quite simple: Juno, your esteemed emcee, will manage a queue of singers. When it's your turn, you'll simply cue up your music via YouTube or similar, stream to Discord, and SING! No need to RSVP, just show up and hop in the queue. Explicit music is not preferred. Can't wait to hear your beautiful voices!!!
We have some amazing events taking place for this year's MCME Olympics yet we don’t have our amazing Olympic park. So we invite every country to come for a 24h building marathon to help create the MCME Olympic Park. Each country will get their own project to work on for 24 hours. Let’s see which country will come out with the best and most interesting designs. The map will later be finished off by a build team and turned into a PVP map. Look forward to seeing you there!
~ Lore Hour Summer Events Special ~

Yet another Lore Hour special for you this summer. This time as we tour you around Middle-earth, you'll have to go head to head vs our old champion Melkor! After three years, It is finally time to cap off the Mini Middle-Earth Trilogy. We started with Frodo's path, then Aragorn's, but now it is time to follow the steps of Bilbo Baggins and the 13 Dwarves. You'll climb over mountains, get lost in the Goblin Caves, and even get stuck on some pretty tricky parkour made by yours truly. But don't be scared by that, it won't be as hard at last year
With a beginning everything has an end (not for MCME, cuz this is eternal) but for our beloved events season. Not to worry, just blink and it'll be back before your very eyes. All that being said, make sure to come join us to set this in stone and see it off for the last time as we open a new and exciting chapter of MCME. As your host Soarz I will be taking personal care to make sure you have as much fun as possible, no sad faces in my crowd. I look forward to seeing you there!
Due to Daom’s survival being too amazing to yet grace our mortal eyes in the meantime MCME’s summer events will bring nostalgic MCME survival, this will mean fun elements of old survival’s will be merged together for this 2021 edition, thanks to ooitsbirdo for making this happen. Please don’t burn Edoras again!
