The Hype is Real!
For over a year, there has been no continuous MCME PVP.
Some of you have never played Middle-earth PVP.
But I'm glad to tell you: it's here again!
That's right, it's not just for the 5th anniversary event - it's permanent.

To get the server off to a good start we'll be having a huge Minas Tirith - Team Slayer PVP game,
hopefully with close to 100 people! You'd better be there on October 10 at 6:00pm GMT! Invite your
friends! The server is open to anyone!
Now, for the server information...
- Team Slayer: Two even teams. Before the game starts, a kill goal is set for the end of the game. When one team reaches that number, the game is over and that team wins! Players get infinite respawns.
- Team Conquest: Two even teams. There are several beacons spread throughout the map. The object is to hold the beacons. They are captured by continuously right clicking until the cap is at 100%. Your team scores points by holding beacons, and this score is added to your team's score every 10 seconds. The first team to 100 points wins! Players get infinite respawns.
- Team Deathmatch: Two even teams. No respawns. The team to eliminate all of the other team's players wins.
- Infected: All players but one are "Survivors" and that one player is "Infected." Infected get only a chestplate and Speed II, and Survivors get full armor, but no speed. When an Infected player kills a Survivor, the killed player is "infected." Infected players get infinite respawns with no change in team. The game ends when either the time runs out (Survivors win) or there are no more Survivors (Infected wins).
- Ringbearer: Players are divided into two even teams, with one player on each team chosen as the Ringbearer. The other team doesn't know who your Ringbearer is. As long as your Ringbearer is alive, your team gets infinite respawns. When they die, though, your team gets no respawns. The team to eliminate all of the other team's players wins!
- Free-for-All: Kill everybody. The game ends when the time runs out.
- One in the Quiver: No teams. Players are given an axe, a bow, and one arrow, which is a one shot kill (if the bow is drawn fully back). When you get a kill with the axe or bow, you get another arrow, up to 5 arrows. The first player to 21 kills wins!
Pretty simple. The staff member who is running pvp (it is not autonomous) will start a game. To join the game, you need to do /pvp join <staff's name>. To spectate, don't do this command. Spectators get spectator gamemode, and can still chat. Weapons don't hit them and they are invisible to non-spectators.

- Killing System: Not a fun one. You will die if you go below y64 or touch water.

- Blow up the Wall: On Team Slayer only, someone on the Red team will get a TNT after a certain number of kills. Place this TNT on the mycelium by the water gate to blow up the wall! (It's super fun, trust me.)
- Battering Ram: Push the button on the battering ram until the gate is breached.

- Killing System: Not a fun one either. You will die if you go below y140 or touch the golden or green leaves.
- Minas Tirith:
- Trebuchets on the wall: Go down the stairs into the stone storage area below. Right click the button. Go back up and place the blocks under the brewing stand on the back end of the trebuchet. Flip the lever in the middle of the trebuchet (not the ones on the outsides) to fire TNT. When the TNT lands, it will kill anyone within a 10 block radius. To reset, flip either of the levers on the outsides of the trebuchet.
- Grond: All four buttons must be pressed at the same time for Grond to swing.
Will the maps and gamemodes ever be updated?
Absolutely! New maps will be added frequently, and new gamemodes can be added if anyone suggests something good.Who can join the server?
Anyone! Even if you have not passed the New Player Quiz, you can still join!
Will the server be open all the time?
It will not. We want to get everybody on at the same time so there are more people.
When will the server be opened?
The server will be opened randomly throughout the week. Usually, this will be after jobs or when there are a lot of people on. The server will also be opened on Saturdays between jobs!
Why isn't the server autonomous?
There have been two other MCME PVP servers before this, one was immensely popular and the other was not. Surprisingly, the immensely popular one was the server that was not autonomous. It had 20 to 30 people on per opening, while the autonomous one had 5-8. I think you can tell which is better.
Will this post be updated when there is new maps, gamemodes, and events?
YES!
Why don't my server textures work?
Chances are, your computer has never downloaded the pack. Go onto build and warp to the location on there. The pack will download and it will work on pvp. Don't do this during a game though, or you'll be stuck spectating.
