What makes a good guide: A guide is someone who is always willing to help others, no matter how annoying they are. They should always be there for the new player and be willing to give tours when a new player asks for one. A guide should know a vast amount of lore and be able to answer lots of questions about the Lord of the Rings universe and Server Lore as well.
