something at the start of our text bar or on the chat window, a dot or anything, to show if youre in local or global chat before you have to do /l or /g would be good
if youve not typed for a while you forget, and if you change worlds it changes sometimes so

well when you do /L or /g, you get the message in chat saying your currently active chat, so some kind of latch for that? then when you world change, do /g automatically to guarantee the toggle works?

I don't think I understand what you mean. What has your current server to do with this?

No problem to send a chat message when you do /l or /g. But that is quickly scrolling up, so no help when you forgot your channel.

i find if im in /l on one world, then jump, i'm sometimes in /g, so i thought your chat was tied to your world somehow

I think your chat channel is tied on individual servers. I don't think VentureChat is doing any chat channel synchronization across servers. That's something we could work on. But doesn't sound very simple. I guess it would end up rather far down my todo list.
A simple solution could be to send a chat message telling you about your channel when switching servers.
