What do you think you can do to make a good Tour?
I think a good tour hinges on three things: knowledge, clarity and charisma. Touring is much like storytelling - one should be able to tell a clear story, with no rambling or confusing side-notes, and guide the audience through the experience; the exact same principle applies for a tour, where one should present the audience with the various locations, and tell their various stories, without getting lost or losing the attention of the audience. It is important that the guide leading the tour can be easily and clearly heard and understood, and it is paramount that the guide has a wide and deep knowledge base, allowing both in-depth commentary, and the ability to freely and comfortably answer questions.
Why do you want this badge?
As an ardent admirer of MCME, it is my wish to become more involved in the community, and become a team-member. For that purpose, I aim to become a Guide, and I would like to start by acquiring the Tours Badge. I believe I am capable of giving interesting and engaging tours of the various locations on the server, and in fact I already have, on a couple of occasions, guided people around. Tours are one of the best ways (or perhaps the best way) of showing new Adventurers the true depth and beauty of our server, and encouraging them to stick around, be more active and become members of the community. As such, it would be my pleasure and honour to be able to do tours myself.
