Thanks everyone, for giving feedback, and sorry for having mine come so late!

So, Fra, you've got some feedback on your Citadel build, and I only want to add one point: Your citadel is tiny! Please do not try to fit something into the TB plot if it's just way too big! Better build only a part of it, but instead build it in the right size (as we have it on the map). Because that's the size you will be building in as an Artist! It would be very nice if you could give another TB a try! Oh, and you don't need to bother making a lot of screenshots actually; make one overview screenshot, so that I can find it more easily, but I will anyway check it out ingame!

Looks good Frasp, remember to keep on updating this as it increases your chance on getting promoted. Try to work with different styles now; moria and terrain. We like to see a candidate who is good in all aspects of building. Keep it up and I'm sure you will get artist soon if you work at it.

Hey Fraspace,
your Cottage of Lost Play is a very detailed build, on first sight it looks just great. But on second look there are many small but eye-catching mistakes or negligences:
  • Use /get logs for trees
  • Don't stack grass blocks or have visible grass blocks below other blocks
  • Your stairs inside are very dangerous, there is nothing to prevent you from falling down.
  • Your terrain levels are just straight lines.
  • Your tree canopies are quite poor. Should be hollow inside and with more braches.
  • You didn't work on the seafloor
  • The cliffs are not detailed with secondary materials
Such details are very important for a successful Artist application, so better improve that

Hey Fras,

I spent some time looking over your application and, other than what has already been said, I think your biggest weakness right now that is keeping you from "artist ready" in my eyes is your interiors. I would spend some time looking at house interiors in DA as there are a lot of examples of exceptional interiors in that city. Your terrain and exteriors look good though. Some things off the top of my head:

- Always using vibrant carpets, even though poorer houses probably couldnt afford them and they dont always look very good
- Placing cabinets above a chest
- Using 4 wood blocks as a table
- Mixing light wood stairs with dark wood bookshelves
- Stairwell above fireplace! Fire hazard!!

You are on your way to artist! Keep it up! I would also personally suggest simply updating a main post with your best builds, rather than constantly posting individual images. Makes it easier from a reviewer's perspective to see everything in a timely manor.

Thanks Fire for your advice!
I will try to work more in the house interiors.
I did a main post where i put all my screenshots of my theme build and jobs.

The seafloor seems too colourful now to me. And you still didn't fix the grass blocks at the banks of the stream

Otherwise great job.
