Oct. 6th 2024 - What rank are you currently and approximately how long have you had the rank?
I've been a guide since mid january (2 months and a week ish) - How experienced are you in FAWE?
I've watched tutorials and ive got a helpful cheat sheet, but aside from selections i haven't done it myself yet - Will you need instructions in using WorldEdit once you have the badge?
need? no, i'm used to having to learn how commands and programs work for my job in machine programming, but if help is offered i'll definitely take it - Why do you need this badge?
I currently spend multiple hours of my life on racetracks and for events that could be completed in a tiny fraction of the time with world edit, which is slowly getting a bit depressing, and although sometimes other people with world edit are online, every time i pester them for it i feel terrible.
I like being self sufficient and not bothering people, and i also don't like being reliant solely on people, Especially when said people have exams or are/should be doing things for mainworld.
I'd like to make it very clear that the only building that will be done is in my area of the events part of plotworld, without explicitly being requested by a staff member to help/do things elsewhere, (and supervised while i'm doing things elsewhere) and anything that interacts with mainworld or moria (such as the recent copying of 11th hall) i'll ask simply for someone else to do.
The vast majority of use will be in laying racetracks and detailing. Comparing the most recent hand-laid track, which took 8 hours for the ice alone, with the latest track, moria, of a similar length, which took Stephen 5 minutes of filling in areas i laid out, just emphasised how incredibly useful this would be. I help out in a lot of jobs and take on a lot of plots when available, but obviously if i'm spending hours on a 10 minute task, that's hours not spent doing trees or running other things like tours, minigames, pvp, etc
- What does 'mature and responsible use of the badge' mean to you?
It means when you're trusted with a tool to help you that could possibly hurt the experience of hundreds of people if abused, you don't just mess around with it anywhere, you use it for what you were given it for, or for what you're instructed to use it for.
As a guide I understand it would be a massive privilege to have this badge, as it's normally reserved for artists in team, and i'm more than willing for anyone who's unsure to monitor any use as closely as they want for as long as they want.
