Distant Horizons LODs

Distant Horizons LODs

Hello!

I am going to tell you how to use my distant horizons files on mcme!

1. Go to the planetminecraft page and download the LOD folder. In it you should find two .SQLite files.

2. Create a modpack that contains the distant horizons mod.

3. Launch the game once and join the mcme server and type /rp auto off. Then teleport to a place in either Eriador or Rohan.

4. Open your directory (where the mods, saves, etc folders are). In there you should now find a folder titled "Distant horizons server data". Open it.

5. Open the folder inside that corresponds with the mcme server (give it the correct name rather than "Minecraft server" in the ingame server menu). And select the "overworld" folder.

6. Close Minecraft. Now you should find a file named "Distant Horizons". It is the .SQLITE file that you just created by loading chunks on the server. This is the file that we are going to replace with the downloaded file.

7. Go to your downloaded .zip file and unzip it. How drag the two .SQLITE files into the "overworld" folder. The game is going to use the .SQLITE file that is just called "Distant Horizons".

8. Delete the .SQLITE file that is not one of the two you downloaded.

9a. If you are in Eriador, rename the .SQLITE file with Eriador to just Distant Horizons (the name of the file you just deleted).

9b. If you want to use the Rohan one, be sure to teleport there first before renaming the stuff. This is due to Distant Horizons always creating new LODs for explored chunks and we only want to see the ones of the correct Region, so Teleport there first before doing this procedure of renaming.

10. Open Minecraft again and join the server. You should now be able to see the LODs. However, the resource packs might be wrong. If that is the case, go to the resource packs page on mcme forums.

11. Get the Human resource pack (for Eriador) and the Rohan resource pack and put them in the resource packs folder of your installation.

12. In the game, enable the corresponding resource pack and relaunch the game.

13. Join the server and you should see everything with the correct resource pack!

For switching between Eriador and Rohan:

1. Teleport to that region

2. Go to the "overworld" folder and rename the folder simply called "distant horizons" to the name of the region that you were currently using. Rename the other file of the region you are now in to just "Distant Horizons".

3. Go to your resource pack menu and enable the other resource pack. Relaunch the game.

You should now be using everything for the other region.
