Architect Head Item Submission Guide

Architect Head Item Submission Guide

Hello. MCME now has a really cool plug-in that allows you to submit player heads, to use as decoration on the server. Yes, you heard right. This small tutorial will tell you how to make a crate with flower petals.

For this tutorial i will be using the skin maker found on Nova Skin - Minecraft Skin Editor to simplify things, but usually I use a photo edit/paining application for a better and more controlled environment.

Here is a chart showing what parts we need to change.

Okay, first we need to remove the body parts we don't need.

Here is a little chart telling where the head and hat is in the skin file:

Download this skin file: View attachment 7516

And upload it to the nova skin maker:

When you have done all this (Removed body parts, toggled the head so it shows only head and no hat, downloaded the skin file and uploaded this skinfile to the nova skin maker) we can finally start to draw something.

We will start to paint a crate on the blue side. Paint the crate in the picture below, but ignore the red square and line until you have something similar.

Now press on the clone tool, where the red line shows in the previous picture. Then right click where the little red square is on the crate. It should looks the same, except the red line i drew on.
Now paint all the vertical sides, meaning every side except top or bottom.

If you notice you don't clone correctly just use the undo arrow in the tool bar below.

When it looks like this on all the vertical sides, we can move on:

Does your skin looks like this?

Good, now we can toggle the head in the corner so it shows the hat.

Paint all the brightly colored squares around the box, left, right, top, bottom, everything. But don't paint outside the lines. It should look like this.

It is not the most detailed of skins and I leave it up to you to do that now if you like. The next step will be saving it and upload it to your minecraft account.

To upload a skin you must go to minecraft.net, log in to your profile and press profile in the menu in the top right corner. If you are ingame, just leave the server and re-join and it should have been updated.

It should look something like this:

Alternatively, if you have some knowledge of using painter applications/photo applications like Gimp or Photoshop this is how the skin looks like:

So for the final step of the road, to submit a head, like this, to MCME, you can use the following command:

/chead submit [Playername] <HeadName>

Should something be confusing or not be working, you can always ask. I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge
